FCCLA
∙ FCCLA stands for Family Career Community Leaders of America
∙ FCCLA promotes personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development; creative and critical thinking; interpersonal communications; practical knowledge; and career preparation.
∙ FCCLA is a group of students who do things to help out their community and their school.
∙ Monthly meetings will alternate between after school and before school and the dates will vary according to student activities. Meetings will be announced in the school bulletin. FCCLA will continue to set up concession stands to fund raise money to pay for bus fees and club expenses. Dues are $20.
∙ 1st Region 2 meeting at the Pleasant Valley Church in Liberty.
∙ Dress business ready do not wear casual clothing.
∙ After the Region 2 meeting we will be going to the Independence Center Mall to eat lunch and shop around after lunch, bring cash.
∙ FCCLA is going to Worlds of Fun on October 28th . You will need $25 for entry and food. It will be from 5 pm to 1 am. Make sure you have a ride when we get back to the school.
∙ There will be an FCCLA float for the homecoming parade. You will have to sign up to be on the float. You will need to have a parent sign a permission slip to be on the float.
